About The Position

Venture Dynamics is seeking a CNC Programmer to support US Naval Shipbuilding work. Essential Functions · Supports the development of all in-house 5-Axis (emphasis on 5-axis machines) CNC programs including program verification · Provides machine shop support and troubleshooting for all CNC programming · Works with Manufacturing for the selection and/or introduction of cutting tools · Creates and maintains drawings/datasets and setup sheets · Investigates and resolves complex technical issues as they relate to part machining, including supporting comprehensive Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) initiatives. · Builds and maintains post processor for current as well as upcoming machines. · Experience with Vison 360 and Mastercam a plus · Works closely with Engineering and Manufacturing employees for product development, CAM improvements, machine time improvement activities, and tool cost reduction · Assists with 3D modeling of products as needed · Supports the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA) · Evaluates and implements new processes and technology, conducting assessments and feasibility of NC methods and techniques · Setup/Run machining equipment as needed
