About The Position

New Flyer is seeking a talented and experienced CNC Programmer to join our team. As a CNC Programmer, you will be responsible for programming and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts and components. You will work closely with the manufacturing team to optimize processes, ensure accuracy, and meet production targets.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role.
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and G-code programming.
  • Strong knowledge of machining processes and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience with CNC machine set-up and operation.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong mathematical and technical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop CNC programs using CAD/CAM software.
  • Set up and operate CNC machines based on program specifications.
  • Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
  • Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of production data and inventory.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturing.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times.
