Requirements

  • High School or Engineering certificate from a college or trade school preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in CNC programming using Mastercam. 5 years of experience is preferred.
  • Experience programming turn/mill centers and 5 axis programming is highly desirable.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of machines and equipment required to fabricate parts from simple to complex.
  • Computer skills including CAD/CAM knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to produce Customer macro programming as required.

Responsibilities

  • Programming new jobs per Planning & Engineering procedure.
  • Verifying programs with tool path verification programs to minimize programming errors.
  • Updating existing jobs programs to incorporate process improvements.
  • Working with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times thru production.
  • Working with Engineering & Customer to resolve drawing issues & manufacturing problems.
  • Supporting the manufacturing floor to minimize downtime, solve problems, and optimize cycle times.
  • Working with machinists to solve manufacturing problems.
  • Evaluating and solving problems on the production floor.
