  • Develop and test CNC programs for basic parts using CAD/CAM software.
  • Ensure programs meet quality standards and follow design specifications.
  • Assist machinists in setting up CNC machines and performing initial test runs.
  • Learn and apply best practices for tool selection, speeds, and feeds.
  • Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Verify that CNC programs adhere to design specifications and tolerances.
  • Conduct initial inspections and validate machining processes under supervision.
  • Work with the quality assurance team to address any discrepancies.
  • Identify and suggest opportunities to improve machining processes and reduce cycle times.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and apply best practices.
  • Engage in training programs to develop CNC programming and machining skills.
  • Learn from senior programmers and machinists to build technical expertise.
  • Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
  • Assist in project planning and provide input on manufacturability and process optimization.
  • Maintain records of CNC programs, setup sheets, and process instructions.
  • Update and manage the CNC program library as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Associate degree or certification in CNC programming, manufacturing technology, or a related field OR 3 years of experience in CNC programming or machining, preferably in a manufacturing environment in lieu of degree.
  • Basic proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor).
  • Basic knowledge of G-code and M-code programming.
  • Understanding of fundamental machining processes and tool selection.
  • Ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
  • APQP, D&PFMEA, Control Plan, etc.
  • CATIA, Pro E, Mastercam CAD/CAM, Pathrace, DMS, MRP, Microsoft office software.
