About The Position

The position involves performing all phases of part machining, which includes cost estimating for all phases of the machining process, reviewing part/component/system technical data for completeness and accuracy, defining processes, and developing documentation. The role also requires identifying tooling, jig, and fixture requirements, as well as supporting, inputting, and reviewing engineering designs. Additionally, the position entails CNC file development, testing, and implementation, along with set-up, rough, and finish machining. The individual will identify machine tool requirements and participate in shop layout planning. Support will be provided to either the Project Manager or mid-level/junior Engineering/Science personnel in areas such as scheduling, data gathering, limited analyses, and preparation of technical/project reports, test reports, drawings, specifications, and associated documentation. Participation in test or project events as assigned by the Project Manager or Engineering supervisor is also expected, along with reporting project status and results. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 10+ years of professional experience in the required task area
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance may be required
  • Must be a US citizen
