We’re seeking a highly organized and proactive CNC Programmer/Setup/Operator to work in our York, PA Plant. This is a collaborative role that touches many areas of the organization.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Technical training through certificates or associate degree in an area like Machine Technology, Precision Machining, or Manufacturing or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with fixture design
  • Mastercam experience
  • Ability to manage and organize the workflow of manufacturing processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with executive management and work group
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Proficiency in CNC machining and set-up
  • Ability to create and modify G code programming for CNC Machines
  • Ability to lift/carry 50 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, climb ladders, and other physical activities associated with CNC Setup/Programmer

Responsibilities

  • Create instructions for machines
  • Review of 3D CAD designs and blueprints
  • Write programming per drawings
  • Translate instructions (drawings) into a computer automated manufacturing (CAM) program
  • Checks completed programs by running simulations or tests
  • Prepares geometric layout of designs using proper software
  • Determines sequence of operations in a program
  • Choose cutting tools that will be needed
  • Analyzes job order and performs necessary calculations
  • Write programs and modifies existing ones for increased efficiency
  • Analyzes and selects speeds and cutting tools for programs
  • Makes improvements to set up times
  • Simplifies tooling time for workers and increases efficiency
  • Evaluates all completed designs to validate their functions and ensure they successfully reduce time and money
  • Monitors all programs to make sure they follow blueprint instructions and safely and successfully complete the task
  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations
  • Adhere to all Quality System Standards
  • Develop compliance with operating strategies to achieve defined productivity, quality, and operating cost goals
  • Request resources necessary to accomplish group goals and objectives
  • Provide on-the-job training to other employees
  • Participate in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost improvements
  • Adhere to guidelines and procedures to ensure the safe handling, removal and disposal of both hazardous and non-hazardous materials
  • All other duties as assigned
