About The Position

Pure Fishing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our industry-leading manufacturing team. If you're passionate about precision craftsmanship and take pride in producing high-quality components, this opportunity is for you. The CNC Programmer / Setup Technician is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to manufacture high-precision components. This position involves reading blueprints, selecting tools, optimizing machining parameters, and ensuring quality through inspection processes—all while contributing to continuous improvement efforts in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Mastercam or similar CNC programming software.
  • Skilled in CNC machine setup and programming (Mills and Lathes).
  • Experience with CMM, micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection tools.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • High School Diploma required; Associate degree or Technical Certificate preferred.
  • 3–5 years of CNC programming experience.
  • 5+ years in a CNC machining environment.
  • Ability to do some material handling, preventative maintenance, lifting, bending and stooping.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints and design specifications to determine optimal CNC machining strategies, including tool selection, speeds, and feed rates.
  • Program, set up, and operate CNC Mills with 3 and 4 axis and Lathes with live tooling and dual spindles to produce high-precision components.
  • Inspect machined parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM equipment to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy.
  • Create and maintain inspection documentation and quality control records.
  • Evaluate and improve CNC machining processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Train operators on CNC setup, operation, and proper use of precision measuring tools.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.
  • Support and implement process improvements to increase productivity and part quality.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.
