About The Position

Axis Automation leverages the teamwork of our leading engineers and machine builders to conceptualize, design, integrate, deploy and service factory automation systems for forward-thinking manufacturing customers. Our team has decades of automation experience, spanning hundreds of projects and thousands of automation configurations. Position Title: CNC Programmer / Machinist The standard schedule comprises ten hours per day and 50 hours per week. Typical working hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00am-4:30pm, with overtime pay for hours worked beyond 40hrs/week.

Requirements

Specific experience with Haas CNC vertical milling machines
Proficient in MasterCam 2D & 3D or equivalent
3-10 year minimum CNC experience
1-3 years minimum programming experience 2D & 3D
Willingness to work up to 50 hours per week on a regular basis
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

Proficient in lathe work a plus

Responsibilities

Responsible for execution of multiple projects and coordination of machining activities
Ability to produce programs for the CNC machines
Running multiple CNC machines simultaneously
Must be a self-starter with minimal need for supervision
Must be team oriented
Ensure machining tasks are executed in the most effective manner regarding time, cost and function.
Ensure internal quality checks are conducted prior to release and/or shipment.
Coordinate with Machining Manager to follow work schedules and labor requirements for assigned jobs.
Coordinates work requirements utilizing drawings, customer specifications and manuals as necessary.
Champions company policies and procedures.
Ensures compliance with safety procedures and practices good housekeeping.
Responsible for day-to-day maintenance of equipment
All other duties as assigned.
