About The Position

Pure Fishing is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC/Manual Machinist to join our industry-leading manufacturing team. If you're passionate about precision craftsmanship and take pride in producing high-quality components, this opportunity is for you. What will you do? As a CNC/Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for operating both manual and CNC machinery to manufacture high-precision metal and plastic components and tooling. You will ensure all parts meet strict quality standards while contributing to a safe, efficient, and collaborative production environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in CNC machining preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in both manual and CNC machining environments.
  • Strong knowledge of machining practices, cutting tools, and working with various metals and plastics.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in CNC programming and knowledgeable in G-code.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software systems.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to producing precise, high-quality work.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods during shifts.
  • Manual dexterity and capability to lift up to 50 lbs. as required.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing setting with moderate noise and industrial equipment.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of a technical program or apprenticeship in CNC machining preferred.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software systems.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to machine custom and production components, including tools and fixtures.
  • Accurately calculate dimensions and tolerances; perform layout and measurement of workpieces.
  • Program, set up, and operate both manual and CNC machines for prototype and production runs.
  • Collaborate with engineers, programmers, and production staff to improve machining methods and results.
  • Inspect completed parts using precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and CMMs to ensure adherence to specifications.
  • Adjust tooling and machine settings as necessary to meet complex design requirements and tight tolerances.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving mechanical or operational issues with machines in coordination with maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety standards.
  • Document machining procedures, inspection results, and production metrics to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor and support team members by sharing expertise and assisting with training.
