Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC programmer, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree or certificate in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing a team of CNC programmers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that all programming tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
• They oversee the development, optimization, and troubleshooting of CNC programs for various machines, such as mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, using CAD/CAM software.
• The role also involves ensuring part quality by reviewing programs, troubleshooting machine setup and tooling issues, and collaborating with quality control and engineering teams.
• Additionally, the CNC Programmer Lead coordinates with production teams to ensure smooth machine operations and efficient utilization.
• They are also responsible for ensuring safety compliance, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, and overseeing the maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines.
• Regular documentation of procedures and reporting to management on progress, performance, and efficiency are also key components of the role.
