About The Position

The position involves interpreting drawings to create complex programs for producing tight-tolerance machine parts using CAD/CAM technology for CNC machines. The role requires calculating cutting speeds and feeds to generate quality parts in accordance with production standards. Additionally, the individual will review and provide input on engineering designs and technical drawings, monitor and verify the accuracy of each new job's initial setup and final outcome, and revise programs based on Engineering Change Notices (ECNs). The position also includes assisting in solving advanced CNC operating problems and troubleshooting out-of-tolerance parts to determine the correct manufacturing process. Communication with supervisors to resolve machining or quality issues is essential, as well as creating setup sheets based on tooling needed for each part. The role may also involve developing and delivering operational and software skills training to peers, skilled workers, and technical school trainees, along with performing other duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.
