The Opportunity Develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs and related tooling to machine precision quartz parts for the semiconductor industry. You will support production, new product introduction, and continuous improvement efforts through advanced programming expertise and cross functional collaboration. Hours: 11:00 am - 9:30 pm, Tuesday - Friday

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years CNC programming experience
  • 4+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist or Operator
  • Basic knowledge of algebra, trigonometry and machine mathematics
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Experience interpreting technical drawings and machine tolerances
  • Experience with Mastercam software or similar software and Microsoft Office

Nice To Haves

  • CNC Programming Certificate
  • Multi-axis programming experience
  • Experience working with Lean or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Familiarity with TDM (Tool Data Management)
  • Experience using macro variables and parametric programming
  • Strong GD&T knowledge with the ability to apply tolerances during program development
  • Experience using 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks to interpret complex models.

Responsibilities

  • Independently develop, optimize, and maintain complex CNC programs from engineering drawings, CAD models, and specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and repeatability.
  • Perform program prove out activities on the shop floor, including simulations, dry runs, and machine validation, resolving issues prior to production release.
  • Define and apply advanced tooling strategies, cutting parameters, and machining methods to improve cycle time, tool life, and part quality.
  • Design, configure, and troubleshoot probing cycles and in process inspection routines to verify part alignment, dimensions, and machining accuracy.
  • Provide technical support to CNC operators and other programmers by troubleshooting machining issues, interpreting results, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Review and interpret complex technical drawings, tolerances, and GD&T requirements, identifying concerns and providing feedback to engineering as needed.
  • Perform advanced program edits, refinements, and optimization to correct errors, address production issues, and improve process stability.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including program notes, tooling lists (TDM), and setup instructions to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating machining processes and recommending standardized programming practices.
  • Maintain organized program files, revision history, and version control to support traceability and controlled production changes.
