About The Position

The CNC Production SUO position at Monogram Aerospace Fasteners involves setting up and operating computerized numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools to manufacture blind fastener components with precision. The role requires troubleshooting and resolving issues related to CNC machined parts while ensuring adherence to exacting tolerances and specifications. This position is part of a team dedicated to improving production processes and quality in the aerospace manufacturing sector.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to read and write English at a level required for company shop documents.
• Capability to apply mathematical operations using fractions, decimals, trigonometry, and geometry as required by machining operations.
• Equivalent to journeyman trade school graduate.
• 3-5 years of work experience or equivalent skills in the setup and operation of CNC machines.
• Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
• Ability to read precision measuring instruments such as comparators, indicators, calipers, and micrometers.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC machines, making necessary adjustments to tooling and collets.
• Run machines with chucker automatic load systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the setup and operation of tooling and work holding.
• Read and interpret drawings, programs, and documentation to visualize machining requirements and sequence of operations.
• Make inputs to CNC consistent with setup procedures.
• Fill out Setup Card for preset or setup of tools for CNC operation.
• Perform dry runs to verify setup before production runs.
• Recognize and report errors in programming and operations, collaborating with personnel to correct them.
• Provide necessary counts and process documentation accurately, maintaining daily production logs or worksheets.
• Utilize SPC techniques to ensure workflow efficiency.
• Maintain SYMIX database accuracy by recording work progress in a timely manner.
• Participate as an active team member in problem solving and team activities to improve processes, productivity, and quality.
• Assist other employees as required.
