About The Position

Summary: The Press Brake Operator will have hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting CNC press brakes. The range of equipment used to include: 135-ton Cincinnati Maxform, 60-ton Cincinnati Profrom and a 400-ton Accurpress. Press Brake Operators are required to comply with all MPI policies and procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC press brakes to form parts per prints and work orders. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and bend charts. Select proper tooling, punches, and dies for each job. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality and accuracy. Make adjustments to programs and setups as needed. Maintain tight tolerances and consistent part quality. Perform and maintain basic cleaning of the work area every shift Perform routine machine maintenance and keep work area clean and organized. Work safely and follow all safety procedures. All other duties assigned

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: 2+ years of brake press operating experience (setup experience required)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience with Cincinnati and/or Accurpress equipment is preferred
  • Strong ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, angle gauges, etc.)
  • Understanding of material types, bend allowances, and forming techniques
  • Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
  • Use proper personal protective equipment
  • Reliable attendance and strong attention to detail
  • Strength Level: 25-40 pounds anything over 40 pounds will need two people or lifting assist device

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Cincinnati and/or Accurpress equipment is preferred
