Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisor, you will operate a CNC Press Brake machine to bend sheet metal parts according to specifications.

Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • 6 months’ experience in a machine shop
  • Apply basic sheet metal forming principles, understanding tooling and bend radius.
  • Proficient in reading calipers (Digital), protractors, measuring tape (no fractions, we use cm or mm)
  • Strong basic math skills for understanding work instructions.
  • Good problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Dependable, accurate, and customer-focused with a strong work ethic.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must have high stamina, as press brake operators often work long hours doing repetitive movement
  • Must be able to bend and reach items at ground level and above the head.
  • Must be able to work on feet, standing and walking throughout the factory for up to 10 hours per day.
  • Must be able to wear PPE; to include, but not limited to, safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, gloves, face shields.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preferred operating a press-brake (hydraulic or Electrical) Safan-Darley/LVD
  • Forklift experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to work 3pm-1:30am, Monday thru Thursday, with occasional Friday overtime work.
  • Must be mechanically minded and willing to be cross-trained in a variety of fabrication functions and operating software.
  • Set up tooling following pre-made 3D programs.
  • Operate CNC Press Brake, adjusting meet design and product specifications according to standard ANSI engineering prints.
  • Read and understand prints using calipers, protractors, and tape measures to confirm dimensions.
  • Set up and adjust pre-existing programs to ensure parts meet dimensional requirements.
  • Utilize planning software (INFOR) for reporting, scheduling, and investigating parts.
  • Inspect raw materials and finished parts for quality.
  • Maintain 5S practices to ensure an organized and clean work area
