About The Position

Standard Iron has been in the contract manufacturing business for over 90 years! This position is for a CNC operator on the 2nd shift, which runs from Monday to Thursday with 10-hour shifts, allowing for a 4-day work week. The role offers a shift differential of $1.50/hr.

Requirements

• Experience as CNC operator-preferred
• Experience using tools such as calipers, height gauges, tape measure & protractors
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents, drawings & blueprints
• Basic computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate Press Brake to perform tasks such as bending & forming parts
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
• Make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of cut
• Inspect and measure finished products to verify they meet the required specifications
• Perform daily maintenance on machines
