We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Plasma Cutter Operator & HVAC Sheet Metal Fabricator to join our dynamic team at our Jacksonville, NC prefabrication warehouse. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a CNC plasma cutting system and fabricating high-quality HVAC duct components in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. Requirements

HS Diploma or equivalent is the minimum required education for this position.
2+ years of experience with CNC plasma cutting tables in a sheet metal or HVAC environment.
Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately.
Proficiency in basic math and use of measuring tools.
Experience operating standard sheet metal fabrication equipment.
Able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, bending, and moving for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with SMACNA standards is preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC plasma cutting tables (e.g., Vulcan or similar) to cut galvanized, stainless, or aluminum sheet metal.
Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and shop tickets to determine cutting and fabrication requirements.
Fabricate and assemble HVAC ductwork (rectangular, spiral, fittings), ensuring proper sealing and compliance.
Use various fabrication tools and machines including shears, roll formers, Pittsburgh, TDC, and slip rolls.
Inspect and finish ductwork components; perform grinding, deburring, and apply insulation or lining as needed.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment; follow safety procedures and attend regular safety meetings.
