Requirements

High School diploma or GED required.
Minimum 3 years of CNC experience.
OSHA 10 Certification

Nice To Haves

Cabinetmaking experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC machinery designed for woodworking, ensuring products meet quality standards and specifications.
Operate Edgebander and Wood Dowel machines
Load materials onto the machine, secure them in place, and adjust the machine settings for optimal performance.
Maintains specifications by observing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; editing programs; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Read and interpret blueprints or design drawings to understand the specifications of the woodworking project.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines, including cleaning and lubricating parts.
Troubleshoot issues with CNC equipment and perform minor repairs to prevent downtime.
Select appropriate tools, bits, and cutters for each job and install them onto the machine.
Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut.
Keep detailed records of operations, including materials used, machine settings, and final product dimensions.
Collaborate with other team members, such as designers and engineers, to refine product designs for manufacturability.
Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and reduce the risk of errors or injuries.
Assist in the inventory management of materials, tools, and equipment used in the CNC operation.
