Presets tooling utilizing setting gauges and/or pictorial instruction.

Requirements

  • Use of hand tools and inspection measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Uses and selects gauges and gauging fixtures to ensure quality of the product. Offsets tooling to meet part specification.
  • Loads work, sets and positions tools, correcting and repositioning, as required. Manually enters machining instructions, if required.
  • Reads blueprints, uses precision measuring instruments. Follows specific safety and operating procedures.
  • Tears down setups and returns as a group: tools, attachments, and gauges for crib storage. Replaces work tools.
  • Cleans and oils machines and maintains coolant/lubricant levels as required.
  • Transport material and supplies within the area. Operates machine as required.
  • Maintains standard level of production output given normal level of production interference.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area. May perform other related duties as assigned. May train others on how to perform this work.
