About The Position

Acrylic Design Associates (ADA), a Taylor Corporation company, is hiring an Equipment Operator to run a Komo CNC Fanuc‑Controlled Router. The CNC Operator will work under the direction of the Department Team Leader and follow established machine operation and quality processes for assigned equipment and jobs.

Requirements

  • Held the position of Apprentice Machinist at ADA or within the same industry
  • A general understanding of Fanuc-Controlled Machinery and Router CIM programming
  • A general understanding of ADA machining equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid math and problem-solving skills
  • Safety and Hazardous Material training (provided by ADA)
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and independently use Job Travelers, ADA‑approved Measured Drawings, Cut Sheets, and First Article Inspection documentation.
  • Set up and operate assigned machinery, following Job Traveler instructions, dimensional drawings, and written machine operation procedures.
  • Perform machine set‑ups, job changes, and production runs in accordance with established standards.
  • Maintain certification in measurement practices and ensure accuracy and proper documentation of First Article and in‑process measurements.
  • Conduct first article inspections, in‑process inspections, and apply “viewed quality” standards throughout production.
  • Safely operate department machinery and supporting equipment, including performing routine maintenance as directed by the Team Leader.
  • Safely handle completed parts and materials, including proper pallet labeling in accordance with documented procedures.
  • Use precision measurement tools, including digital and dial calipers, protractors, Vernier calipers, and tape measures.
  • Maintain department cleanliness and organization, including proper maintenance, upkeep, and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Demonstrate proper use and care of all Acrylic Design Associates property.
  • Adhere to all ADA, state, and federal safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Immediately report all injuries, incidents, or near‑misses to an ADA representative.
  • Participate in required meetings, training sessions, and certification activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
