CNC Operator "B" Shift
About The Position
Sydor Optics, Inc. is a Rochester based manufacturing company fabricating flat-surfaced, precision optics for over 50 years. Our manufacturing facility is in Chili, NY just west of the Rochester International Airport. Our Sales Team works closely with customers to assist them with custom requests for a variety of markets ranging from entertainment, semiconductor, medical, military and more. Position Description The CNC Operator Level 1 is responsible for set-up and operation of CNC machines on our "B" Shift
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic Blueprint reading
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Good math and reading skills.
- Experience in operating CNC machines.
Responsibilities
- Work with Programmers and Team Leader to review work orders and understand the machine operations needed per job.
- Maintain specifications by observing cutting operations, taking measurement, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, replacing worn tools, and adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
- Machining small production runs using CNC equipment.
- Work with heating up and cooling down of glass.
- Clear coating and cleaning glass.
- Ability to use and read precise measuring instruments.
- Perform Preventative maintenance as needed.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
