About The Position

Consider joining the Pennex family as a CNC Operator at our York, PA location. The CNC Operator is responsible for CNC operation and fabrication production in order to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Requires previous experience with CNC Programming software.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
  • Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must have regular attendance.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.

Responsibilities

  • The CNC Operator is primarily responsible for operation of CNC equipment within the fabrication shop.
  • Performs set-up of CNC equipment.
  • Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs.
  • Performs proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.
  • Performs operation of additional production equipment as necessary.
  • Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
