About The Position

The CNC Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC milling machines and related equipment to produce precision parts. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. The CNC Operator will ensure parts meet quality standards while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. Job Description Schedule: 4am - 4:30pm (Friday-Sunday) This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes / Competencies. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year CNC operations experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work safely in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with heavy machinery.
  • Ability to lift up to 40-50lbs

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating Mazak and Doosan machines.
  • Familiarity with G-code.
  • Troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve production issues.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
  • Perform CNC program operations, including feed/speed adjustments and adding passes when necessary.
  • Read, interpret, and apply engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and technical tables.
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, height gauges, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Compute dimensions and tolerances, measure, and lay out workpieces.
  • Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments as needed.
  • Ensure all material meets work order specifications and record measurements per written work instructions.
  • Debur and finish parts to meet quality and safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Operate additional machine tools when required, such as sawing, turning, boring, drilling, and precision grinding.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
