CNC Operator 3rd Shift
About The Position
3rd shift: 10pm-6am Position Summary: Set up and operate CNC Milling machines used to prefinish fired ceramic cores. Mount proper fixtures and load tooling in accordance with written procedures. Make minor adjustments to machines, including program off sets, to maintain product quality standards. Essential Functions: Set up CNC Milling machines, which includes mount part holding fixture, load proper program and mount proper cutting tools Load and unload parts on fixtures, check for visual and dimensional criteria during production run Adjust all equipment as required to maintaining Quality and Quantity standards Cut tie-bars on bucket cores Must use micrometers and other measuring instruments to verify cores Must run CNC Machine for inspection and read product X-Rays Meet department productivity and yield standards Must follow and adhere to all safety procedures Maintain department standards for housekeeping/6S Other duties as assigned by supervision
Requirements
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers and other measuring instruments
- Must be self-directed to accomplish goals with minimal supervision
- Must have good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and internal employees
- Must be able to read and write, and do basic mathematical problems
