About The Position

Consider joining the Pennex family as a CNC Operator at our York, PA location. The CNC Operator is responsible for CNC operation and fabrication production in order to meet customer requirements. This is a 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent education.
Requires previous experience with CNC Programming software.
A desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Flexible and driven to meet tight deadlines, handle multiple projects and prioritize them appropriately.
Ability to read blueprints.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Must have regular attendance.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.

Responsibilities

The CNC Operator is primarily responsible for operation of CNC equipment within the fabrication shop.
Performs set-up of CNC equipment.
Advises supervisor of any new tooling needed for new programs.
Performs proper care and basic maintenance of tooling and equipment.
Performs operation of additional production equipment as necessary.
Maintains good housekeeping and follows safety procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
