CNC Operator - 2nd Shift

About The Position

Haydon, Kerk and Pittman are three world class AMETEK brands that supply advanced linear and rotary motion solutions to a diverse mix of global customers. We are recognized as a leading manufacturer of brushed and brushless DC motors, stepper motor based linear actuators, precision Acme lead screw and anti-backlash nut assemblies, linear rail and guide systems, gearmotors, drives and complete custom automation sub-systems. We are looking for the right individual to join our team as a CNC Operator on the 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 2:30pm-10:30pm. If you have experience with Citizen Swiss-type machines, that would be a plus. This position is responsible for the set-up and operation of CNC machines in a safe and orderly manner while maximizing production output using efficient and effective methods.

Requirements

High school degree or GED
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Self-motivation
Strong problem solving skills
Strong understanding of machining practices
Good working knowledge of trigonometry, geometry, basic math and measuring instruments
1+ years of machining experience or a recent certificate in precision machining or related field
Ability to work well within a team or independently and a demonstrated initiative to drive for results

Nice To Haves

experience with Citizen Swiss-type machines

Responsibilities

Operating multiple machines simultaneously while proactively keeping all machines in the department running.
Making adjustments to assure dimension, tolerances, quality and highest accuracy of parts.
Performing inspection of your parts and your co-workers' parts utilizing measurement tools i.e. snap gage, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparator and other measuring instruments.
Performing minor editing of current programs.
Following established procedures as well as quality and safety standards.
Communicating delays and problems effectively and timely.
