About The Position

As a CNC Operator you will set up and operate computer numerical controlled (CNC) machinery that automatically mills, punches, drills, broaches, or reams metal and/or plastic parts. You will perform adjustments to adhere to established specifications and monitors work to ensure that the machine is not malfunctioning. A CNC operator at Wood-Mizer makes general decisions as to quality, tolerances, and operation sequence. This position is in Batesville, IN and is NOT a remote position.

Requirements

High School Education Required
5 years CNC operation and set-up
General math knowledge
Mechanical aptitude, safety-conscious, self-starter, team play

Responsibilities

Operate CNC axis machines
Read blueprint and fabricate part per print specifications
Inspect own production frequently using proper gauges or measuring instruments
Meet production goals
Able to Setup/Operate/Edit Programs on multiple machines in Fabrication
Ability to retain learned knowledge
Conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times
Clean work area daily
Train other employees as needed
Assemble manufactured parts
Pack assembled parts
Perform other assigned work per instructions
