The CNC Operator is responsible for operating the Gerber cutter to cut patterns on fiberglass for lamination parts. The role requires exceptional attention to detail and precision to ensure accurate and high-quality results.

  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control to ensure adherence to standards.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment where ambient air temperature may exceed outside air temperature.
  • Flexibility to bend at the waist and knees, as well as stand for extended periods of time during work.
  • Capability to climb into and out of the interior of boats as necessary for specific tasks.
  • Willingness to wear proper safety equipment, including a respirator, when required for safety purposes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the proper maintenance of the Gerber cutter and handle the uploading of new patterns to the machine.
  • Occasionally trace patterns onto pre-stacked materials by hand with precision.
  • Organize kit pieces by part number and boat, stacking them onto shelves for easy access by operators.
  • Thoroughly inspect all parts after production to verify completeness and ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Keep the work area clean and orderly to promote a safe and efficient environment.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management to support overall team goals.
