About The Position

As as CNC Operator III, your will be responsible for performing day-to-day machine operations in a machine center production environment to produce titanium parts in addition to the following duties: Interfaces with engineering and R&D on drawings, inspection sheets, part design, and documentation for shop (procedures, springs etc.) Train CNC Operator II on major setups for multiple types of machines -Regularly partners with CNC Apprentice and Operators I & II Interfaces with quality assurance and quality control to maintain quality of work produced Perform standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, speeds, and machining feeds Regular utilization of a wide variety of precision measuring instruments.

Requirements

  • High school minimum (college, technical, or trade preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years experience working as a setup person in a Swiss style CNC screw machine and passing a CNC setup test, or equivalent
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to complete full major setups for two or more types of machines
  • Basic CNC programming knowledge, enough to upload/download programs to machines
  • Ability to operate multiple types of machines
  • Technical skills to produce a finished screw machine part beginning from a blueprint and tooling sheet (includes acquiring tools, machine setup, machine operations, and all necessary inspections)
  • Ability to perform a setup while operating an additional machine
  • Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on machines and complex production problems
  • Ability to work directly from blueprints and drawings

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of safety and hazardous material regulations
  • Knowledge retention of FDA Quality System requirements ("Good Manufacturing Practices") and ISO 9001 requirements after training
  • Basic English proficiency at a High School level both in oral communications and reading comprehension
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds
  • 20/20 vision with or without aid
