About The Position

The position involves operating various types of CNC machines to produce parts that conform to print requirements, with responsibilities including basic program adjustments to meet quality and schedule requirements. The role requires maintaining a safe and healthy work environment by following established standards and procedures. The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing and basic print reading, perform basic daily maintenance or checks for machines, and make more complex program or tooling adjustments to produce conforming parts. The position also includes operating a 2-axis lathe and holding .0005 tolerances, operating a 4th axis mill, performing First Part Inspections for all lathe and mill operations, mentoring and assisting colleagues in setups or program adjustments, and making program or setup datasheet adjustments to master files for future use.

Requirements

• Previous experience in production and quality control methods (ISO9001, AS9100 etc.) preferred.
• Previous experience in Lean Manufacturing implementation and production systems preferred.
• Previous experience in manual or CNC machining preferred.
• Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job.

Nice To Haves

• Computer skills (MS Office) and experience in ERP systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing principles, basic shop math, and basic blueprint reading.
• Knowledge of hand tools and general inspection tools.
• Ability to read and follow work orders, setup data sheets, and measurement instructions.
• Ability to change some machine setups (pallets, collets, etc.).
• Can perform diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshoot basic programming and machine issues.
• Ability to change most machine setups and update master programming and setup data sheets.
• Willing and able to train colleagues with troubleshooting and adjusting machines and programs.
