We have opportunities on day and afternoon shifts for CNC Operators and CNC Machinists at the Timken Aurora Bearing facility. This position involves operating CNC machine components parts from bar stock for various machining processes including inside diameter (I.D.), outside diameter (O.D.), facing, chamfering, grooving, and drilling to meet specific machining requirements. The role requires selecting and changing arbors, fixtures, speed, inserts, and tooling according to print specifications. Operators will run first piece parts, making necessary adjustments to ensure quality characteristics are met as per print specifications, and complete the necessary paperwork to attain set-up approval. In addition to operating the machines, CNC Operators will load parts, cycle the machine, check parts at designated intervals, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality characteristics throughout the machining operations. It is also essential to maintain machine operation, which includes checking fluid levels and surface grinding and re-sharpening teeth on the arbor as needed.
