About The Position

The CNC Grind Operator is responsible for operating and setting up computerized numerical control machines, including lasers CNC/EDM, CNC machining centers, and CNC grinders. The operator will utilize measuring tools to inspect parts and must have the ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents. Additionally, the role includes performing preventative maintenance on the equipment when required, engaging in R&D of new programming, and executing manual machining operations. The operator may also be tasked with performing other duties in the facility as needed.

Requirements

• H.S. diploma or equivalent.
• Three (3) years + experience in machining, measuring equipment and CNC set-up and program editing.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem-solving ability.
• Ability to accurately interpret blueprints and/or work in-process documents.
• Math and computer technology skills.
• Ability to read and use measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, engineers, and co-workers.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities
