About The Position

Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate equipment parts. The position requires working the 1st Shift from 5am to 3:30pm, four days per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Machine Tool Technology Technical Certificate or Associates Degree in CNC Machining preferred
• Basic computer knowledge to include Outlook and MS Word and Excel
• Excellent problem solving, organization skills, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and CNC Vertical Machining Center
• Use machine tools, meters and machine manuals to diagnose problems
• Manufacture precision parts with multiple quantities and profiles (radiuses and angles with different tangent points)
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding and fabricating techniques
• Use and read precision measuring instruments
• Able to read and understand blueprints
• Provide support to department for plant improvement or facility projects as needed
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
• Must be available to work overtime days/hours as needed for emergency repairs
• Assist in other areas of the shop as needed
• Work proficiently with minimal supervision
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Regular attendance is an essential function of this position
• Compliance with applicable Company policies concerning maintaining a drug free workplace is required
• Compliance with all Company policies including all safety policies and procedures is required
