About The Position

Under minimal supervision, sets up and operates CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to fabricate equipment parts. The position requires working on the 1st Shift from 5am to 3:30pm, four days per week.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Machine Tool Technology Technical Certificate or Associates Degree in CNC Machining preferred
• Basic computer knowledge including Outlook, MS Word, and Excel
• Excellent problem solving, organization skills, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate CNC Lathe and CNC Vertical Machining Center
• Use machine tools, meters and machine manuals to diagnose problems
• Manufacture precision parts with multiple quantities and profiles
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding and fabricating techniques
• Use and read precision measuring instruments
• Read and understand blueprints
• Provide support for plant improvement or facility projects
• Perform daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
• Be available to work overtime as needed for emergency repairs
• Assist in other areas of the shop as needed
• Work proficiently with minimal supervision
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Maintain regular attendance
