About The Position

Infra-Metals is seeking an experienced CNC Burning Machine Operator to join our team! We are a leading steel service center, providing value-added processing and distributing a full line of metal products to industries nationwide. We're looking for a skilled operator with hands-on experience running Plate Burning Machines (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel) in a steel service center or fabrication environment. Experience with overhead cranes is a plus. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and motivated to deliver high-quality results.

Requirements

• Previous experience operating Plate Burning Machines (Plasma or Oxy-Fuel) required.
• Experience in a steel service center or fabrication environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Strong understanding of safety practices in an industrial environment.
• Ability to work within precise limits and standards of accuracy.
• Must be dependable with consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Able to work any assigned shift, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Physically able to stand, lift, climb, and perform warehouse tasks.
• Strong team player with a positive, motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC plate burning machines to meet required specifications.
• Ensure all cuts meet size and tolerance requirements per processing work orders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written work instructions.
• Accurately use measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, micrometers).
• Safely use manual hand tools such as wrenches and clamps.
• Operate overhead cranes and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.
• Maintain compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to complete production goals.
• Perform additional warehouse duties or special projects as assigned.
