About The Position

The CNC Nutrition Education, Outreach, and Monitoring Manager serves as an ambassador for Cornerstone Family Ministries, focusing on expanding access to nutritious food for children living below the poverty level. This role involves managing the Children & Family Nutrition Hub and Community Garden, overseeing nutrition education programs, and ensuring compliance with various nutrition-related regulations. The manager leads a team responsible for training, outreach, and monitoring efforts related to the Child Care Food Program (CCFP) and other nutrition initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree or higher in Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Registered Dietitian credentials and licensed in the State of Florida.
  • 3+ years of experience as a program manager in a grant-funded program, preferably with the Child Care Food Program.
  • Ability to lift 20+ pounds and work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Publisher, Outlook, and social media.

  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising activities.
  • Knowledge of public health and dietetics developments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training for new and existing CCFP center staff on menu planning and meal pattern requirements.
  • Conduct monthly in-service training for CFM CCFP staff regarding policies and procedures.
  • Offer technical assistance and training to sponsored CCFP sites on menu planning and specialized diets.
  • Manage the Technical Assistance Coach team and ensure compliance reviews for child care centers.
  • Develop and implement a New Center Recruitment Plan and manage the onboarding process for new CCFP sites.
  • Oversee the Nutrition Education team and ensure delivery of nutrition education programs to CCFP sponsored centers.
  • Assist in writing grant content and compiling budgets for nutrition education programs.
  • Promote community health through nutrition education and collaboration with community partners.
  • Represent Cornerstone in the community and participate in events and fundraising activities.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance reviews for staff in the Children's Nutrition Department.
