About The Position

We are seeking an experienced CNC Milling Machinist with strong set-up and operation experience on horizontal and/or vertical milling centers. This is a high-mix, low-volume precision machining environment requiring strong blueprint reading skills and full-process machining experience. This position is onsite in Peabody, MA. For qualified out-of-state candidates, we are offering relocation assistance up to $10,000 to support your move. Experience with Mazak HCN-5000 Horizontal Milling Centers, Mazak 700, or equivalent equipment is a huge plus!

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 10 years combined CNC operator and set-up
  • Must have a minimum of Five years' experience as a CNC set-up person.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Mazak HCN-5000 Horizontal Milling Centers, Mazak 700, or equivalent equipment is a huge plus!
  • Knowledge of Fanuc Series 18i-M and 18i-MB controls a Plus.

Responsibilities

  • Set up horizontal and vertical milling machines (Mazak) and related equipment
  • Working knowledge of Mazatrol Smooth G and Nexus controls required (will confirm during interview process)
  • Knowledge of Fanuc Series 18i-M and 18i-MB controls a Plus.
  • 3,4,5 Axis Milling experience
  • A working understanding of G & M Code functions.
  • The ability to link multiple machining operations to each other
  • Manage tool list, tooling offsets, pallet fixturing and related tooling within the cell
  • Demonstrates a working knowledge of speeds and feeds and a working knowledge of cutting tools and their applications
  • Work closely with the programing department to develop and insure proper milling machining techniques
  • Read prints and process travelers without supervision
  • Read and understand work instructions and maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of Inspection equipment to measure and record all dimensional features as required
  • Follow the direction of the Cell lead and execute proven fabrication recipes as documented while highlighting any issues encountered
  • Maintains area, equipment, and tooling in a neat and orderly condition, while always exercising good machining practices.
  • Understand and adhere to ISO and Quality policies.
  • Required to lift or move objects up-to 40 lbs.
