About The Position

This position involves operating CNC multi-axis milling machines in a high precision manufacturing environment. The role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work collaboratively to solve complex issues. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm.

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in an aerospace or high precision manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 3 years of experience operating CNC multi-axis milling machines preferred.
  • Experience setting up and changing over jobs on CNC equipment.
  • Exceptional mechanical ability and strong mathematical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and problem-solving ability.

  • Good attitude and willingness to learn new trades or skills.

Responsibilities

  • Run 3, 4, and 5 axis milling and/or turning machines.
  • Operate multiple machines simultaneously where feasible.
  • Work with hard metals such as Inconel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel.
  • Read and interpret symbols on operation sheets.
  • Use Fanuc controls and make offsets as required by the program.
  • Load parts onto fixtures and operate hoists to load parts onto machines.
  • Read and interpret CNC programs at the machine.
  • Read tool sheets and set up tools for use on a job or part.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as gauges, swing gauges, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Apply Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing knowledge.
  • Work within tight tolerances such as thousandths.
