About The Position

WHAT IS TEKNIPLEX? TekniPlex Healthcare is a respected business partner that specializes in the manufacturing of medical and pharmaceutical packaging for companies around the world. We aim to deliver better patient outcomes by manufacturing products that allow for less invasive procedures, reduced pain, faster healing, and safer drug delivery. We are currently hiring teammates in our Pleasanton, CA facility. Swing Shift: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. (Monday to Friday) Pay Range is $35.00+ depending on experience. Peridot is a contract manufacturing organization used by many companies as a resource for prototyping, testing, fabrication, and distribution of precision components. This function is responsible for the following core duties: Follows directions and assignments as directed by manager. Reviews drawings, travelers, & instructions to ensure accurate production. Programs/operates various equipment that include, but are not limited to, mills, lathes, grinders. Performs other miscellaneous tasks such as the deburring, cleaning, and preparation of parts as required. Conducts on-line verification and inspection of work pieces to ensure conformance to drawings and specifications using various instruments and gauges. Adjusts machine controls, programs, and tool settings to maintain part dimensions within specified tolerances and/or to optimize run times. Properly and accurately sets up machines and continuously oversees machine operations during production runs. Monitors run speed and other settings for accuracy compared to parameters stated on Traveler, and immediately notifies manager of any discrepancies. Verifies the quality work and the parts being fabricated. Maintains a clean and safe work area with strict adherence to 5S and Safety Performs periodic maintenance of machines including maintaining fluid levels and cleaning, as required. Ensures accurate data entry onto Traveler that include quantities, hours spent on jobs, signatures, dates. Maintain compliance to company Quality and Regulatory standards, as required. Additional interim and/or regular tasks may arise due to the dynamics of the company and may require the assistance and participation of this function.

Requirements

High school or GED is required.
2 years of experience in a CNC machine role.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and legibly complete time cards and work orders.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures and read blueprints and technical drawings, such as machine, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups situations to other employees of the organization.
Ability to effective present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
