About The Position

Our employees are actively involved in the design, engineering and manufacture of technologically advanced medical devices that ensure that we meet our customer’s quality specifications for each product we produce. Setup and operate CNC machinery to manufacture medical implants and instruments. Perform inspection of machined parts for acceptability per manufacturing prints. Effectively maintain equipment as required.

Requirements

  • 1 year college related course in machine shop practices preferred
  • 1 year previous machine operation experience in metal manufacturing preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints
  • Proficient in the use of hand held measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Possess efficient math skills
  • Basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year college related course in machine shop practices preferred
  • 1 year previous machine operation experience in metal manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Use handheld tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect machined parts.
  • Load and unload medical implants for machining.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Read and interpret manufacturing prints.
  • Become proficient in minor to complete setup, program download and operation of CNC machinery within the first year of employment.
  • Accurately and consistently document all performed tasks on appropriate records (work orders, inspection sheets, maintenance logs, Machine Metrics, Net Inspect etc.).
  • Inspect documents for previously completed operation sign off and verify part counts before beginning any manufacturing operation. Do not proceed if discrepancies are found.
  • Perform required maintenance checks of equipment before beginning any manufacturing operation. Do not proceed if problems are found.
  • Prior to use, ensure measuring equipment has been calibrated, is not beyond calibration date, and is in good working condition.
  • Follow established protocol to maintain ID & traceability of product and documentation. Do not perform operation if ID is questionable.
  • Reference applicable drawings, specifications, and Manufacturing Process Instructions before beginning any manufacturing operation.
  • Follow department Standard Process Instructions.
