About The Position

The CNC Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operation of CNC machines and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on machining lathes and mills, motors, pneumatic tools, and production equipment. This includes following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, as well as troubleshooting malfunctions. The technician will also be involved in installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing various machine control components and hydraulic systems. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment and recommending modifications and improvements to machines, equipment, and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate Degree in technical related field of study preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance of CNC machine tools.
  • Experience working with EMAG, OKUMA, MAZAK and MORI SEIKI machines, Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and/or Siemens controls is a plus.

  • Locates root cause of problems using sound troubleshooting methods.
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair machine control components.
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair power transmission components.
  • Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic systems.
  • Provide proper record keeping and documentation for machine and repair files.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical parts manuals.
  • Use required hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
  • Proactively attain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Recommend modifications and improvements to machines, equipment, and processes.
