Maintenance Machinist Summary Join Millennium Print Group as a Maintenance Machinist (Independent Machining Specialist)! We’re looking for a highly skilled Maintenance Machinist to join our manufacturing team. If you’re passionate about precision machining, problem-solving, and working independently to produce high-quality components, this is your opportunity to support products enjoyed by collectors around the world. Location: Raleigh, NC Schedule: Full-Time | Onsite Pay & Benefits: Competitive salary + full benefits package

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a manual machinist in a manufacturing or job-shop environment
  • Expert ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of machining materials including aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and plastics
  • Advanced shop math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Independently plan, set up, and execute manual machining jobs from concept to completion
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and verbal instructions to produce precision components
  • Select appropriate materials, tooling, and machining strategies based on application requirements
  • Operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, drill presses, and related equipment
  • Calculate speeds, feeds, tolerances, tapers, and geometric layouts to meet tight specifications
  • Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
