About the position
The CNC Machinist position involves operating CNC Lathes and Mills for a drilling company that specializes in producing tools for the oil and gas industry. The role is focused on setting up and operating Mazak CNC machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring precision in manufacturing special products. This is a temp-to-hire position offering full-time work with a competitive hourly wage.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate Mazak CNC Lathes and Mills
- Read blueprints to perform correct cuts
- Use micrometers, calipers, and indicators
- Train less experienced Machinists
- Ensure compliance with API license requirements
Requirements
- Three years experience operating Mazak machines
- Ability to read blueprints
- Own most hand tools, micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Ability to lift 50lbs
