About The Position

Workover Solutions, Inc. is looking for a highly skilled CNC Machinist with strong lathe experience to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a self-driven individual with a solid background in CNC turning, capable of taking jobs from setup through to final inspection. Experience with 5-axis milling is a plus, but not required. You’ll be working in a fast-paced, non-climate-controlled shop, where attention to detail, efficiency, and problem-solving ability are critical. Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience with CNC lathes in a production or job shop environment.
• Strong understanding of tooling, speeds/feeds, and material behavior in turning applications.
• Experience with Haas or Fanuc controls preferred.
• Ability to work from blueprints with a thorough understanding of GD&T.
• Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
• Experience with 5-axis milling is a strong plus, but not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and a commitment to producing quality work.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC lathes independently.
• Read and interpret complex part prints and GD&T to ensure part accuracy.
• Select and set tooling, make offsets, and verify tolerances throughout production.
• Maintain tight tolerances and surface finishes on a wide range of materials (e.g., stainless, tool steels, aluminum).
• Perform in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
• Adjust setups as needed for optimal cycle times and minimal scrap.
• Collaborate with programming and engineering teams to optimize machining strategies.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and perform routine equipment maintenance.
