About The Position

At Kelly®, we're passionate about helping you find a job that works for you. We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to work with a company in East Falmouth, MA. This is a direct hire opportunity, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package upon hire. The position requires monitoring and controlling the quality of machining processes using process control tools such as control charts and statistical capability information. You will participate in continuous improvement activities that result in standardization and waste reduction in the manufacturing process, maintaining the production processes and the expected efficiencies established for the product line. As a CNC Machinist, you will perform new product setups and troubleshoot problems that arise on the machine. Reading part prints/OCP's and job routers for all product specifications, including dimensions, tolerances, inspection, and the number of parts to be machined, is essential. You will use machine controls to cycle the machine through production operations, adjusting tool positions and tool changes as necessary. Additionally, you will review machine operating criteria such as cycle time, speeds, and feeds, and inspect products using inspection equipment according to the operation control plan/print. Your role will also involve performing new product inspections, including the inspection of complex GD&T features, ensuring proper lubrication and cooling on workpieces, and maintaining your work area according to TPM and 5S standards. You will assist CNC programmers with new product in-loads and provide tooling and fixture ideas to the engineer and programmer. Proposing process improvements that reduce cycle time and increase product quality will be a key part of your responsibilities, as well as troubleshooting and rectifying problems on a CNC machine with minimal assistance from the programmer or engineer.
