CNC Machinists are responsible for operating a variety of manual and CNC machine tools, making adjustments to the machine, and detecting malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or HSED/GED Equivalent.
• Understanding G and M codes and knowledge of FANUC, HEIDENHAIN, and/or SEIMENS controls is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety and health guidelines, quality standard practices/procedures, and housekeeping standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and part drawings.
• Work independently by utilizing drawings and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations.
• Machine parts to the required specifications up to +or- .00005 tolerances using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and 5-axis machines.
• Select the appropriate tools, machines, materials, speed, and feeds required to complete the machining of the assigned parts.
