This role is responsible for setting up and operating manual machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and honing machines to produce precision aerospace components. This role involves interpreting complex engineering drawings and GD&T, machining a variety of materials, and maintaining extremely tight tolerances while adhering to strict aerospace quality and safety standards. The machinist performs precise measurements and in-process inspections, finishes parts to specification, documents work for traceability, maintains equipment and a safe workspace, and collaborates with quality and engineering teams to resolve any machining or dimensional issues.
