They will need to have 2+ years of recent lathe operation experience. All employees are to work within safe guidelines described in our safety program. Operators are to follow Control Plans fully. Control plans outline the job processes and frequency that features are to be checked. Features are checked at the machine as well as in the quality lab. Operators are to be expected to run production with quality in mind. Process sheets are provided for all jobs. These simplify job at hand, so operators are not struggling to find features on a print. Operators are expected to read and understand Micrometers, Calipers, and dial gages, Depth Micrometers and height gages. Operators, once trained, are to be able to tear down and set up Machines for different jobs when needed within timely manner. Operators are trained daily maintenance. Coolant levels and concentrations, chip hoppers, grease and chuck maintenance. Operators once trained are expected to maintain tools and tool life. Potential hazard exposures may include: cuts and abrasions from using hand tools, cuts from metals, heavy lifting, fumes and/or airborne particles, pinch points near machinery, extreme temperatures, slip and fall hazards.
