Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic CNC Machinist who is fueled by high accountability, execution horsepower, and driven to understand our world, science/technology, and life itself, for the benefit of all on Earth and beyond. POSITION SUMMARY We are looking for a resilient, high-energy, experienced CNC Machinist, responsible for setting up and operating CNC milling and turning centers to produce components that meet stringent aerospace standards. This role requires expert knowledge of multi-axis machining, tight-tolerance work, and experience with a variety of materials. A successful candidate excels at interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements, performing in-process inspections, troubleshooting machining issues, maintaining equipment and tooling, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and quality management system standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in CNC Machining, Aerospace machining experience is a plus
  • Operational knowledge of multi-axis CNC equipment, workholding, and fixturing
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and inspection processes and equipment
  • Demonstrated adaptability to diverse machining tasks typical of a prototype environment
  • Ability to interpret schematics, assembly drawings, and GD&T
  • Familiarity of SolidWorks or similar computer aided design tools
  • Track record of delivering outcomes in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
  • Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges
  • Proven to deliver high quality results under tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of hyperMILL, Mastercam, and Siemens 840d a plus
  • Knowledge of DMG Mori machine tools a plus

Responsibilities

  • Set-up and operation of multi-axis CNC mills and lathes
  • Understanding speeds and feeds, chip load, and other fundamental aspects of machining
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and machines to fabricate components
  • Maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment
  • Manufacturing products from a variety of raw materials, including metal, plastic, and composites
  • Heavy lifting and handling of parts
  • Operating shop equipment, such as drill presses, band saws, grinders, and pallet trucks
  • Collaborating with design, engineering, and production teams to develop manufacturing projects
  • Adhering to safety guidelines and shop protocols
  • Communicating project progress, status, and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
  • Perform additional job duties as assigned
