We are Dover Precision Components, #LifeAtDPC Summary: The CNC Machinis t sets up and operates computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to perform machining operations including milling, lathes, large horizontal and vertical lathes. The hours for this shift are: 8:00 pm to 6:00 am, working Monday-Thursday, off on Fridays. Our Antigo facility is under ITAR/UNNPI regulations, all applicants must be a US Citizen to be considered.

Requirements

  • One year Machine Tool Operation certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior experience with precision inspection equipment including, but not limited to, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges
  • Our Antigo facilitiy is under ITAR/UNNPI regulations, so you must be a US citizen
  • Mathematical Skills: The ideal candidate can work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Responsibilities

  • Actively promote and participate in advancing the safety culture of the facility.
  • Read, process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements.
  • Locate and download programs from a DNC storage system.
  • Interpret work instructions.
  • Identify, select and install proper tooling for operations being performed.
  • Calculate proper feeds and speeds for a variety of steel grades, copper, brass, aluminum and bronze
  • Read, understand, edit and/or write programs.
  • Understand capabilities of tooling and machinery.
  • Understand applicable quality systems and perform necessary quality inspections.
  • Adhere to all Waukesha Bearings policies and procedures.
  • Seek out and participate in Continuous Improvement opportunities.
  • Set up all necessary measuring equipment and routinely check the calibration of the equipment while measuring.
  • Create and maintain a team focused work environment.
